Mould Development
Plastic injection mould development is the process of creating a mould that is used to produce plastic parts or components. The mould is created using precision engineering techniques and is typically made from steel or aluminum. The first step in plastic injection mould development is the design of the mould. This involves creating a 3D model of the part or component that will be produced using the mould. The design is then reviewed and any necessary adjustments are made to ensure that the finished product will meet all necessary specifications and requirements.
Once the design is finalized, the mould is manufactured using precision engineering techniques. This typically involves the use of computer-controlled milling machines and lathes to create the various components of the mould. The mould is then assembled and tested to ensure that it is capable of producing parts that meet all necessary specifications. The testing process may include running several test shots to ensure that the mould is able to produce parts that are consistent and of high quality. The mould is then inspected for any defects and any necessary adjustments are made. Once the mould is deemed ready for production, it is sent to the customer for use in their manufacturing process.
